Listen, kids: steroids are bad, but money's good. So how to rectify the paradox that drugs make bigger/stronger/faster baseball players more money? We got two choices, really. Either make steroids legal; let every fool who wants to take them, take them; and make the front office pay for them (and any medical conditions/lawsuits caused by them) or CUT THEM OFF, SELIG. Tell your players, their kids, and very freakin' person in the free world that baseball is about more than the quick buck and the long ball. For all that's holy and the love of the game....sheesh.
